Interesting Day on the Lake:
Set alarm for 5:00, but woke up at 6:00....on water at 6:45...missed the top-water bite but threw frog till 7:30 cause it was still cloudy- result, not even one blow-up. 7:45 - hit the dike with the shakeyhead - result - caught 2 nice catfish. 8:30 - headed to tank d**n at Johnny's cove - lost sunglasses on the way..........caught one on shakeyhead and one on fluke. 9:30 - headed to the d**n with shakeyhead and swimbait - nothing. 10:30 - saw guide Bob Greene with man and boy clients picking up fish.....sporadic schoolers but they were watching Bob's big screen t.v. and the 6 year old boy was killin' them .....must have caught 20....cool, but i zeroed.... 11:15 - the school bell rang.......the lake exploded until rain ran me off at 12:30....4 boats around me just killin'them....I ended up with 28-30 nice 3 to 4 lb. schoolies allon the fluke.....so, all's well that ends well.....thank the Lord for schoolies....but that's what i went for afterall!

Well Jimbo.....I was kind of doubting it for a while, but the sudden burst of schoolies made it worth it. If the rains hadn't hit and ran all of us off.....I might still be out there!

Good report. There is nothing like schools of Fayette 3-4#ers that stay up for a while one chunky fish after another. Gotta Love It.
