Took one of my buddies from high school out to fayette tonight to try and catch a few good ones. My buddies in the air force and doesnt get to fish on a boat very often. Anyway, started around 5 and fished until 8:45ish. Water temps were in the mid 90's. I was hoping to get some schoolies....No luck, to windy. I caught 3 shaky head fish on the end of the baffle dike. The biggest going 5-11. We moved around a bunch and C-rigged, spinner bait, DD-22, with no luck. Right before dark we went to the dam and threw sammy's and picked up 5 nice chunks, BIG BLOW UPS. In all we caught 10 fish. I we would have been in a jackpot we would have weighed in 4 fish in the 5 lb range. It was a good evening, wish I would have got him on more fish...
That is the first time in 2 months I've fished out there, 2nd in 4 months. I was a little desapointed in myself.

Nice report...Fayette's been tougher this year for me than any other year I've fished it..I was hoping that you would find some schoolies...but sounds like you found some quality fish!
