As yall already know, Kevin Wirth just won the last Elite Series event on Old Hickory. Of course since he is sponsored by Berkley he told the media that he caught his fish on a Power Hawg. I dont know if anyone here has ever used one but I have.....This is not a pic of a power hawg. It looks like a Baby Brush hawg or a Mutant..... What do yall think???

Only thing I know about the Mutant is those things are fragile...I love em, but your looking at 1 fish per bait... If that were a Mutant, it would tear off before it got that high on a line with the fish flopping around... That thing looks too thick to be a power hawg IMO... My vote... Baby Brush Hawg... gotta love it, screw the sponsor and use what really works...hahahaha Z

I haven't used a power hawg, but I think that it is a baby brush hog which I prefer over the mutant. It does not slip down the hook and have to be re-rigged and the "legs" do not tear as easy as the mutant. Plus, it has been pretty good to me over the years especially on a CR. If it ain't broke....

I know this an old topic but I was watching ESPN today and they showed footage of this tournament.A closeup of the bait on his deck showed that it was a Berkley Power Hawg that Wirth was using.
