The bass chumps board of directors is currently talking about the FLW-TBF. The decision by the guys at the TBF top 6 tournament this year to not alternate the lake any more and have them all on lake fork got us to talking and looking for other options.. We have found a top 6 club tournament with the same format that is cheaper to get into and has more participation than the TBF has had for the last 5 years. Check out the web site and let me know your thoughts. Mike buck is currently getting more information about this tournament but I do know that it doesn't involve the anglers in the club to put up any dues to be in it. TBF cost each angler that wants to be in the top 6 about $65.00 a year. You can still pay the FLW-TBF dues if you wish to fish the state tournament and try to move up the ranks to the living the dream package.

My two cents...The TBF Top 6 Tournament was great for the first couple of years, but participation by other clubs has fallen off. To me, the fun of the Top 6 Tournament (other than the drinks and cards) is going to a different lake every year and test our skills against a large field of clubs on a different lake each year. This isn't happening any more. I like the new top six.

If the bct is free just do both...nothing wrong with fishing fork every year and also wherever the the other one is!

I would say BCT. The fun part about top 6 tournment is finding out after you make it what new lake you get to go fish. Being stuck in one place every year wouldn't be as fun and the clubs closer to Lake Fork already have an advantage. Doesn't mean they can beat the Chumps though, which was proven this year!  |
