Fayette Saturday, Choke Monday

Jug, Brandy and I made it out to Fayette Saturday. We fished from 7 am to 7 pm, water temp was 82 and the weather was perfect! We ended up boating 126 fish. Our goal for the day was 50 so beating that by 76 fish was awesome. Our best five for the day went 26.5 pounds!

On Monday I made it out to Choke Canyon. I got on the water about 10 am and left at 3 pm. Water temp was 78, the wind was in the 20's and the sky's were high. Took me a while but I finally found a school of fish. Caught three on the day and lost three more all in the last hour. My last cast however proved to be a great one! I landed my new PB. A 9.75 pound Choke Canyon Toad! My three fish went right at 17 pounds so not a bad day.

Great job on your PB Colton!!!! Can't believe I missed out on Fayette!! No wonder I didn't get bit in 3 fingers on Monday....based on those pics you guys wore my fish out!!

That by far was one of my best days on the water. But we did catch another 22 fish in that spot on Monday too. I'm looking forward to catching some toads on Choke in a few weeks. We are going up the day before to find some of Colton's big fish holes. Chad is headed up there this weekend so I'm sure he will be on the big ones as well as Colton.

Nice job on the PB, Colton!!! I was on Fayette on Saturday, too. I caught 28 between 7:30 and 11:30. It was a great day to be out there.

The big girls are chomping right now on Choke! I would be willing to bet the big bass pot won't be carrying over after this one!!
