Sorry took so long to post.
Falcon 6-17
I not sure where to start. I have heard so much about Falcon. All I can say it lives up to it`s name. Started out with mostly cloudy skies then partly cloudy. Water temp in the mid eighties. Air temp by noon was what felt like a 150 degrees. Stayed cool by drinking lots of water and finally I had a small towel I would dip in the ice chest and wrap it around my neck. Very little wind but when it did blow a little it felt great.
So much for the weather. We switched out all day from deep diving crankbaits to flukes, wacky worms, t-rigged worms, and drop shots. It seemed like it did not matter what you were throwing or the color if you were in the right spot and put it in front of them they would grab it. We fished from 6:45 until 2:00. We fished from 5 feet to twenty feet in only two places that were not 60 yards from each other. Started out in the morning catching good fish on the first spot. I mean good fish. Then moved to the other spot and found a lot of 1- 1/2 to 3 pounders that were stacked in like a cord of wood. Almost on every cast a bite of bringing in a fish. Moved back to the first spot about 1:00 and Charles said they should be back here now. Sure as $hit we caught 14 fish in 45 minutes.Wife getting the biggest of the day. 7.13lbs. We managed 67 fish. 3-7`s..3`6`s...4-5`s. The rest from 3 to a pound in a half. We even had some doubles and one triple. That was the greatest fishing trip I have ever been on in my life bar none. I was amazed at how those big fish come out of the water like a torpedo and jump so many times. I have only seen that on fishing shows on T.V. The first big one I caught and how it jumped out of the water I said to myself I`m never going to get this fish in. Finally after what felt like 5 minutes the fish finally got tired. Even the little ones on that lake when you stick them feel like hogs. I just thought the fish on Fayette pulled hard. If we would have caught every fished that bit that we missed there is no doubt I think we would have caught a hundred plus. Charles Whited all the times he has guided us I still get blown away by his ability to put you on fish and make sure he positions the boat to where you catch fish. You think he is not paying attention to you but he never misses anything. He will notice real quick after you have reeled in if you need a new bait and quickly change it. I have never seen anyone re-tie a carolina rig or drop shot so quick. We got to the boat ramp and kept 10 small ones to bring home to eat. Charles cleaned the the fish at the cleaning station, bagged them up and we put them in the our ice chest to bring home. Charles is fun to fish with and first class all the way. I would have to e-mail someone pic`s so they can be posted. Cant`wait to get back to Falcon
