June 28th Bastrop BLOWOUT!!!

If yall haven't heard yet, here it is...

June 28th, Lake Bastrop T, daylight to 1:00, $40 a boat as many as 3 people per boat, HHJ rules apply...

Fishfry to immediately follow...sponsor help by Grand Bass and Academy!!!!

Team ABF, Team TOZ will be there in full force....We need a couple of Chump boats out there. I'll be there with my Kitty and I hope to see all of yall out there also.

I've been talking to Charlie and Yung(ABF admins) and we are looking to have over 50 anglers, then blow it out all night long. ABF has a camp site and RV site. It's BYOB and we will keep and filet ALL dinks and fry them on the spot. Go to ABF forum for exact details.

I would like a roll call of all Chumps that will be there please.

Yeah I have been reading about it daily on ABF and seems like a helluva deal.

If I win saturday I will be there at bastrop.......Being up here now makes bastrop a big a** drive pulling a boat.

I have been putting up with a couple bullies named Shell and Valero just to take part in the club tourneys.

My boat will be empty, so I'll have 2 seats open for those who don't have a boat and want to fish. I'm hoping a couple more Chumps boats show up. If not, then I'll have to fend off the ABF/TOZ boys...solo...

I think there were 19 boats. Chumps came in 4th-5 unders. I believe top three teams weighed in fish over 21"

The highlight of the day was watching Z fall into the water ;D

My partner Chris and I took second. We too had one that barely went over 21. Later in the day the schoolies seemed to be short striking our baits. On several occasions we saw fish follow the bait back to the boat, or they would shoot out at the bait and turn on it right at the last second. It was a little frustrating to watch all these fish busting the top of the water just feet in front of you, but yet they wouldn’t hit your artificial bait. But I would say overall it was a fun day on the water, we caught our share of slot fish as well, plus I had another opportunity to meet some of the members on the forum.

Chris had to work with the fish for a few minutes before it swam back into the deeper water. But once it got its act together it took off.

I want to thank Warren and Shane for all the help at the fry yesterday... They did ALL the slicing and breading while me and Rude fried all the fish, Russel fried the fries... everyone brought some sides and it was pretty impresive...

I appreciate the help, you guys made it happen, everybody had a great time.
