I made it to lake placid this past weekend for my bosses 50th birthday. Its just a small stretch of the guadalupe river but has some great cover to fish. Me brandy and a couple buddies fished outta two boats flipping Lilly pads and grass mats most of the time with no luck. Right before dark we moved back to about 15 ft with crank baits and I picked up the only fish of the trip. Explains why we were the only two boats on the water but it sure was fun running up and down the river full throttle like it was my personal race track!
