Took my first trip to Lake Falcon this weekend. It was the best and worst trip I had in a long time. Weekend started out with good numbers of fish in the 2 to 4 pound range with one 6 pounder and one that went 9.5 lbs. Most fish came off points in 18 to 25 foot of water off of C-rig Zoom Brush Hogs. We caught a lot of small fish up shallow with crankbaits early around the trees but not many big fish. Now to the Bad part. Woke up Sunday morning went outside to take the cover off my boat and saw that it had been cut in two. Went through the boat to find 12 rods and my Humminbird 998c SI gone. Looked at the console and they cut the plug off with a knife. They didn’t take any tackle just rods and GPS. Good thing I have Insurance. All totaled up the hit me for over 7,000.00 dollars. I called the police and they came by and made a report and said I was the 2nd boat hit that morning. He also said that the OSO Blanco hotel is the only place they have this problem down there. So if your planning a trip to Falcon I wouldn’t stay there if I was you. Any way here are a few pics.
