bastrop 2-21-11

Hit the strop Monday for a few hours. Lots of fish running shad. I caught about 25 or 30 with about 18 keepers. Best 5 unders would have gone close to 8 pounds. The fish are as fat as i have seen them in a long time. Took a few pics of the bigger ones.

Thanks for posting report Jug.....it prompted me to pay Bastrop a visit. Hit water at 1st light today and within 1st hour had boated several good bass hitting both buzz and spinner-baits. All were about same size...18-20" and I never saw an under. By 9am and bright sun they shut off.





NOTE TO SELF: Get a bigger ruler for the boat.

Great looking fish Jerry. The fish on Basrtop look better than i seen them in a long time. Hope to see you at Conroe on the 12th.
