Lake Bastrop is now open. LCRA temporarily closed the lake late last week after a leak at the Sim Gideon Power Plant caused 450 gallons of lubricating oil to be released into the lake. The oil has been cleaned up, and LCRA expects there to be no effect from the spill on either aquatic life or the lake itself.
