Fishing this past weekend

Had a buddy come in this weekend from Dallas so we fished Fayette in Sat and Sommerville on Sun.

Fayette we fished from 7:30-11ish. Caught close to 30 up to 5 lbs. Most on fluke and spoon.

Sommerville on Sun morning. Fished the Sunday T 6:30-12. We ended up with 5-12.38 lbs and 2nd place, making it one 1st and 3 2nd place finishes this past month on that lake for me. There were 16 boats that fished, and first had 4 fish with a 8.87 kicker that the guy said he caught in 15ft of water and the fish didnt make it.

It definitely sounds like you had a good weekend-This from the same guy that used to call it slummerville. Sounds like you've been slumming quite a bit lately.

Its my new home lake ;D Now all I need are some brush piles out there and I'll be able to compete with all the other slummerville yahoo's.

What happened to the toilet bowls? I've seen one of Shane's brush piles....Literally!

I guess I'm one of the yahoos, but it hasn't done me a bit of good in the last two tournaments there. I haven't caught crap off of Warren's toilet bowls ;D ;D ;D and I can't find any of the brushpiles I put out 3 or 4 years ago .

Thanks for posting Bigdubbasscat...so I also went out to Fayette fishing Thursday evening and Friday at sunrise which was in the rain. Swimming some flukes and tossing some frogs both were getting some decent fish....A pic or two....
