Buck and I fished the FTO Tourney yesturday. They had us messuring the fish and taking a picture of the fish with a card they gave us. The day started out beautiful. We figured we could get a topwater bite going. Ah...NO.... Buck saw a splash behind the boat, threw his SB over and hooked into a nice 17 incher. I then proceeded to catch a nice 4lb catfish on a RT. We moved over to the baffle dike were Buck caught 3 nice chunky 14-15" but we didnt take pics of them figuring Buck would catch more larger fish. About that time our pastor called Buck to see if he would be a church. Buck was snake bit the rest of the day. Nature was calling for me about that time and we had to fly back to the Oak Thicket RR. Bucks Card flew out during that trip.
We then moved to my flipping bite. It was on.......... for me. I caught a bunch of fish. The day was topped of at the end of the day when we found a nice 19 1/2 incher on a bed locked on. Since I already had 92 inches in the boat I gave Buck a good chance at catching her. She took two trailers off his jig. While he was putting on a new bait I flipped over there and caught her. ;D
All in All it was a pretty good day. Not as good I figured it would be. I wish Buck would have flipped for more fish. I didn't front boat him, well maybe a little , but it wasn't intentional. I did offer many times for him to get in the front with me. I ended up with 93 inches for 1st place. 2nd had 74 inches. Not a bad Sunday fishing trip. Little did the FTO boys know when they started the day that they would be RB'd ;D
GOOD TIMES!!!
