Well, as you all know it was a bit chilly and breezy today. I spent daylight till about 3 on Bastrop, we only caught 4 total. I Got two fairly early on r-traps off the point with the danger buoy about 75 yards off shore, one was almost at the buoy and one was closer in towards shore, both fairly close to the top of the bar. A bit later got my first fish on a magic shad, a decent slot fish around 16" - that one was back in the timber. The guy I went with hooked up with one in the timber back a bit further on a lizzard tx rig. That's all. Spent the first hour of daylight at the outlet, 4 other boats there but we were first in and last out, only saw one fish get caught, 12" on a r-trap. Not much going on anywhere it seemed, although some club had a tourney and a few guys had a limit at weigh in, they were running 2-man teams though. Hope you guys had some success at coleto!! can't wait to hear how it went.
