:-[It sucked, the guide caught 2-3 lber's. I threw a 2 lb 16" swim bait all day. It looked sweet just no action. We could have drop shotted all day and caught some smaller fish. His two came on ds the last hour of the the trip. Oh well I guess I will just have to beat all of you guys this weekend to recoup the money I waisted. ;D

First thing I learned about guiding was to NEVER outdo the clients... ;D

Right...Actually, I told him to start fishing and try to catch something so we didnt get skunked. I really didnt fish until the last hour. I have no doubt I would have caught a ton of fish if we would have ds all day. I didnt want to catch 5 lb fish so we threw big baits all day. Only think is, if I were guiding I think i would have switched to the sissy stick earlier to try to catch 5-10 fish. Oh well I did learn a lot about swim bait fishing. And a little about ds.

Sounds like a good day all in all, that's what guides are for, to learn from. It's always nice to catch some fish (or kill some trophy animals), but the info is really valuable too. Hopefully you will pass some of it on when we get out -- i think swimbaits would really kill the fish up in Wisconsin
