I had planned on making a run to Coleto Creek today but decided against it when I saw the reports of 20-30 mph gusts today. Did anybody brave the wind and fish today?

Not me. Gonna give it a try tomorrow. Going hog hunting this evening. We did not want to fight the winds either. Went to Coleto last Sunday for the first time. Wanted to make sure that we could find our way for next Saturday. Finding the lake is about all we accomplished. We did not catch a fish over 3 lbs. Good luck if you go tomorrow.

Well I braved it but on the San Jacinto river instead of any lakes.
Caught a bunch of spotted bass on spinning tackle with 3 inch Lake Fork Live Magic Shads on a split shot rig.
It was fun.

Sounds like fun. There's nothing quite like little spots in the frying pan...Did you keep any?
