I’ll keep this report short. Water temp was 64. Winds out of the south east blowing pretty good at times. Rain and drizzle fell on us most of the day. On the water from 1 pm to 5 pm. Water color in some coves was pretty murky from all the strong north winds we have had lately. Water level is down about two feet.
Threw a little plastic and crank baits with poor results. Went to the rip rap and fished pretty fast through this are throwing a top water plug. I caught around ten bass in the three to four pound range, and my uncle caught three. The plastic seem to be producing smaller fish, so we stayed on the rip rap catching the better fish. It was some tough fishing for sure. Out of about every forth to fifty cast you might get one blow up, but at least it was a nice fish.
I also talked to a couple of other anglers on the water and they said they were having a bad day and really couldn’t get on a good bite. So I guess all in all, we had a pretty good day in the short period of time we were out there. I put it this way, I’m not complaining. Heck, my uncle and I had a good time.

Probably a little early for it, but did you try fishing the reeds?
