Got on the water late (7:00 a.m.) due to having to get new 2 new trolling batteries. They've been giving me problems and finally decided to bite the dust....I should've check them the night before but was busy and didnt get a chance. Anyway, topwater was really slow for us, we caught a few. We then went over to 3 fingers and looked for some schoolies. There were a few here and there but I dont think the shad are really bunched up yet so the bass arent bunched up in big schools yet either. We chased a few small schools for a little while but they didnt stay up very long. When they would come up and you took a shot at em' they were already headed back down. Should get better as the days go on... We fished a hump mid lake and picked up a few on T'rigs and C'rigs not enought to keep us there. Hit a tank dam where the slight breeze we had was blowing across and saw a few bait balls around so we stopped. Glad we did because the fish were there! First cast I caught a 3 lb'er. After all was said and done we probably caught another 15 fish off of one little spot on this tank dam on c'rigs and t'rigs. I caught one that I swear was 8 lbs. Put it on the scale and it said 6lbs and some change.....I"m gonna put some weight on the scale and see if its reading right? Both of us said it was an 8 when I got it in the boat.... Anyway, it was a good day on the water with a good friend. Hope this helps, Noel

Thanks for the report Noel..............I got lucky one day last week and hammered the schoolies around 11 to 12:30. But your right, the best schooly action is yet to come.

Noel your such a stud.....especially with your graphs. That wouldnt have been the side imaging that hooked you up on that dam was it? Im still waiting on my guided day on the lake with a pro....I have pm'ed you a couple times with no response. Pretty good chance I will have the 997 on the skeet skeet by the end of august

Nice report. Nothing like finding good sized fished bunched up like that in one spot. That's what keeps us coming back to Fayette.

No, the SI didnt help me with this dam....its a well known dam that just happened to have fish on it yesterday! I got a spot to show you that I did find with the SI that I think will impress you.... My bad on the PM's I totally forgot about them. I did read em' but forgot....sorry! We'll hit it one day for sure....
