Nice fish no doubt, but those big girls aren't coming off Ribbits or Buzzbaits, so I'm not getting too excited. You gotta get lucky out there. I know the stretch of river to fish for a 20lb sack out there, know just gotta find the boat stall that holds the right ones. Warren will tell ya he didn't want to fish my stretch if water. Hell, he told Bshiff an Dowdy before takeoff. But it made him a believer when by himself could of brought in 18-20lbs. I bet you 10 to 1 on a hundy you'll find him and Blake on that stretch in July ;D. Problem is, will fish be in the same stalls??? Everybody says it's a crap shoot on LA, but every cast you get a chance reel in a hawg. It'll be fun either way, but the guys that catch the hogs fish that lake like I fish Bastrop...... Z

I'm not the kind of A$$ that will post it on ABF, but I am the kind of A$$ that will post it here...That doesn't look like a 12# fish. But, what do I know, I caught a 7.75 and I was calling people saying I think I caught a 10.
It is nice to be fishing somewhere like LA. You can catch a toad on any cast, but no matter where I'm fishing and who I'm with my strategy will be the same as always...I just want to catch 5 keeps then try to cull a few. If I catch 15 lbs, then I'll think about that hawg.

Well I am going to go with my strategy as always.......It has changed over the past year or so.....I now go for 5 of the RIGHT bites. This will prepare me best for the 2009 BASS Opens.
My arsenal of baits have changed greatly over the past year......If we ever get somewhere close to me where I can pre fish and actually find the right fish I might go nuts on em.

Last time we fished this tourney.....me and Bage caught 17 keepers, including Bage's Big Bass of 6 Pounds. However, it was an individual tourney and I had 14 pounds and Bage had about 12 with his Big Bass! (all on topwater) together we would have had around 17-18 pounds. That is what I think it will take to give you a shot at winning! Z, if you look close at some of the ABF posts, they ARE catching Big Bass on topwaters over grass, mostly Pop-R's (they've lost a couple of quote "monsters")...........I'm going for 5 keepers 1st, then a "bonus" fish........However, I will pre-fish it, at least once!!Dude said he had two bigger than this come off a topwater!! (I think he's Bage's long lost brother......)

Dang, I can't see the pic. I wanted to check it out if he's related to TBag. I guess I should change my strategy...You all saw how it worked for me last time we went to LA. My strategy this time is to go where Jim tells me to go and throw what Jim tells me to throw ;D But seriously, I know this is a little different because we're fishing at night and somewhat limited. I am a decent stick when I am familiar with the water I'm fishing, but my weakness is knowing how to attack new water or finding a pattern when what I normally do doesn't work.

Buck - you need to stick with what's been getting you $$$on LA Shane - you got a solid partner for this one, he'll put you on fish. You just have to get em in the boat. BShiff - Good luck with your strategy ;D I know who your partner is He always has his strategy...oh...and ADHD As for me - Warren knows where I'll be, hopefully catching fish, in front or behind Dowdy......and not bobbing for cranks Z

Hi All
Really looking forward to meeting everyone on Sat.
Shane - Dont worry about the upcoming LA tourny. I will put us on some fish. Hopefully we will get a hawg and take the Win.
I also do not believe the post on ABF about the 12 lb fish. I caught an 8.5 lb fish in LA in Feb that was much fatter. My PB is a 12.4 lb fish that was a monster compared to the pic that is posted. I must say though I have had digital scales that were way off.
Till Sat. Peace out and pop a top.
Jim

It will be interesting for me to not have control. Interesting??? ;D ;D ;D That's putting it mildly... ;D ;D ;D You crack me up!!! ;D ;D ;D...I think I peed on myself a little ;D ;D ;D And....now you can talk BShiff into fishing where you previously wanted to go and not where you caught all those fish... Me and Mr. Budweiser sponsor will fish the same set of boat docks...Hope it works Z

Well I know that the skeet skeet moves rather quickly so you better put some NOS on that maroon girl thingy cat........
Na just playing......Z and Warren yall know whos spot it is and that is between yall.....although Z, the other day when I talked to Warren I was explaining some spots to him, some of my docks are yalls docks......The only reason why you didnt see me last time was because I had a frozen girlfriend on board......so we might be all fishing some of the same stuff

Now that's funny.......actually the only people I've seen fishing like that are wearing pointed hats on Lake Somerville. But if that is what they're catching......I might have to join them! Let's try this again...put that tu cap that bage wears on this guy and see if it ain't a match!

I don't reserve "spots" or are they "mine"... If someone beats me there, then I'll take sloppy seconds Blake, the only thing I ask is if we are fishing within 2-3 docks of each other, we will need a little music around midnight. It might bring the fish up. Our monday night T's get a little slow and Russel pumps up little rap in his Skeeter and the fish go wild...ask Buck!!! Z

Just a thought. You all could just hand the money over to me and Shane now. That way we can save Z the embarrasement of coming to the weigh in with an empty sak Jim ;D
