I vote that when we say BYOB, then BYOB homos ;D ;D ;D Just joking, I'll start bringing wine coolers or Zemas, then maybe some of you left handed hitters might stay after the T and actually try to get to know some of the guys. PS...I got us a Budweiser sponsor ;D and he'll fish with me on LA!!! Z

Chumps,
Do you want me to ask RudeHo to make a flyer for this, and post on ABF also?
Might be able to add 10 boats or so...

I appreciate the idea but the chumps will pass on the offer. This upcoming event is a club tourney therefore only club members will be welcome to participate.
I do make flyers for each event and they are passed out to members at the tourneys.
We will definately be interested in combining efforts with ABF for an open tourney at a later date.

Bshiff,
Just talked to Z and he explained the whole deal to me. I now understand the Club part of the T.
He said that we could still make a flyer to advertise the T, however clearly explain the membership into the Chumps.
Myself and Airfob think we are in. So, we think a few more might join too. Even if we cannot make every Chump T, it will still help the overall AOY $$.
So, if that is Ok, we will proceed.

We, are proceeding, and will be posting our T on the ABF site...Thanks EA... For those of you that do not know what has been going on... We(Chumps) have been in talks with a few of the ABF boys and some(a few) of them will be joining our club. Our rules are a bit vague as to who can fish at each event. We are in the process of defining them. EA and Fob are willing to help out advertising our T's, using their scales, etc...if need be. I want EA and Fob to be a part of the Chumps, as well as a couple more ABFer's. They fit the bill of a Chump. Everyone here has brought in one, if not more guys to be members of our club. I think that is great. Now, I'm bringing in a few more, that in my opinion, love to fish and hang out. These guys don't pre-fish, are not in it to make millions, they help with info on the lake, and WON'T jet immediately after the T's. Everyone here knows the ABFer's and I know yall agree they need to come and fish with us once a month!!!!!! Z

Z I agree..........I emailed EA with some thoughts on everything.
There are a list of ABF'ers that I welcome with open arms and hope they could try to make many more with us.
However there are some that the only intent would be to jackpot. Yes it would add more money to overall AOY but that is not what we are about!!!!

I you have a list of people that you don't want in the club, lets make sure you check with me, Buck, and Shane first..... I don't think you have to worry about guys "jackpotting". They will not pay $90 per team to maybe win $125 a piece. All I know is that the dudes that are coming to our T wil not ask me if they HAVE to pay dues after weigh-in. It's all good, I just need a couple dudes that will drink a few coldies with me during and after...I get lonely Z

Bshiff,
Please do not worry about Jackpotting. First, it is impossible on Lake Austin to jackpot it.
Trust me, I have fished it for years, and one day I can catch 20 lbs, go to the same area, do the same thing the very next day and get skunked.
You cannot pattern LA hardly at all. Any other Lake and I would agree with you.
Also, I only think that a few hard cores in my own crew would show up, that really like hanging with the Chumps and to show our support for your T.
I have been running the HHJ wed night for years now, someone different always wins.
You guys let us know. We are going to show you our flyer for your approval before anything gets posted. If you neg it, it gets neged....!

We got the flyer.
Waiting for approval from the powers that be.
The flyer is simple, we will go into more detail in the actual post so no one is confused. Also, we will link to your rules too.

Done!
Y'all help us monitor the post and answer any questions that come up.
Please get a copy of the official rules up as soon as possible.
We are here to support it. ABF will have a full spread for weigh in, with breakfast tacos and those pieces of avocado all smashed up. I think you call it "guacamole" ;D ;D

Looking forward to it guys, can't wait to join the legendary Chumps! (with your approval of course)
As far as jackpotting, it may or may not happen but just be ready for it if it does now that a flyer is posted on ABF. Although Austin is a difficult lake to pattern there are guys out there that have fished the lake for over 25 years and have their own piles.
So are you guys cool with allowing anyone that shows up and pays your dues to enter the T?
Also, I saw on your site under Schedule & Rules that since this is a team T only one member must be a registered Chump. Does that mean only one person must pay the $20.00 yearly dues if they wanted to jackpot the tournament?
Don't mean to sound so cynical guys...just looking out for y'alls best interest.

Sorry for the long winded post, but I guess I'll weigh in on this and I tend to use 500 words when 5 would do ;D This whole thing started out as some guys heading to the lake to fish at night, drink a few beers, and put up $10-20 so that if you caught the big bass you got to take a little of your buddies' money along with braggin rights. I wasn't one of the original three chumps but got in on it shortly after. Up until this point, the club has mostly consisted of a core group of guys that know each other and all have a basic understanding of what we are all about. We have been trying to get a few more guys that we know to join in order to have a better time while we're out there. I don't speak for all of the chumps, but to me the point of the T's is to have fun and test my skills against my buddies who I know are all good fisherman. Taking home a little of their money, if I get lucky enough to do so, is a byproduct of the braggin rights. I wasn't in on the decision to allow nonmembers to fish, but I know the intent was to let an existing member's son, daughter, brother, wife, etc. to fish one T without becoming a member or to find a last minute replacement so that he didn't have to fish alone not to allow two guys to fish a team tournament for the price on one. When the T started to get talked up, advertised, etc., the loop hole was created. I guess that it is a good thing-people want to fish with us, but it also means we have to create more rules and guys are going to scrutinize the ones we already have. That being said I genuinely like the core ABF guys that I have met and would be glad to have you guys join our club. I'm in it to have a good time and don't want that to change. If you guys want to fish with us, we are happy to have you aboard. Just remember what we're all about. I'll clean up the rules page so that it hopefully reflects the intent of the rules. Z, Bucky, and Bshiff check it out later this afternoon and let me know if I need to change anything. Hey, I think I am the second one to reach 100 posts-I also need to "Get a Life"

Shane,
The Chumps and the core members of ABF share the same principles. We're all about supporting you guys and look forward to not only fishing Austin but joining and becoming a contributing member of the Chumps.
Most likely it'll be the guys you have already met that come out and fish, but ABF draws such a broad audience and there may be jackpotters that even we have never met.
Just wanted to clear a few things up so we can accurately field any potential questions about your upcoming T on Austin. Spoke with Bucky and all is clear.
Perhaps you should insert a new rule for the Austin T, each member must consume a 12 before first cast ;D
