 Tournaments for next year

Has anyone had any ideals about a schedule for next year or will the tournaments voted on at each tournament.

Is the top six deal still on.

I liked knowing where the tournaments were going to be in advance. I don't know about setting the dates. Maybe we need to vote on those the month or two before as people's schedules become more firm. Just my opinion. What do you think, Jug?

The top six is still on. We need to work out the details about when we are going to leave and where we are going to stay.

Since I planned on fishing many of these next year I guess I will put my two cents in.

If Im not mistaking, and I think everyone who went would agree, we missed Coleto last year by just a few weeks. So why wouldnt we hit that sucker first this year in January.

Bastrop, I hate fishing for small ass fish, that is absolutely pure luck! If we fish it, lets do a paper. I believe everyone's phone is capable of a picture so we can have it where u take a pic of the fish next to the board and other anglers phone showing the time (this way nobody could use same fish twice). But you know my thoughts on
paper t's.....Id much rather bring in a sack rather a notebook.

WACO????? If we go that far to a mud puddle, lets go south to Choke.

Here is my christmas wish list:
JAN: Coleto
FEB: Choke
MAR: Conroe
APRIL: Austin
MAY: Somerville
JUNE: Stillhouse
JULY: Livingston
AUGUST: Austin nighter

I probably would have left the LA all nighter off my list before the tournament this year ;D

Hopefully we will continue getting some rain so that all of the lakes are fishable.

I would like to see a 2 day tournament on either Coleto or Belton. I think mid February will be good for Coleto. The power plant don't heat that lake much. The smallmouth bite should be real good at the end of March on Belton.

Texas has some of the best lakes in the country...........................................Come on guys.

Steer away from the 5 fish for 10lbs and lean more towards you might catch a 10lber.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion...My picks are based on where I would like to fish and where I think most everyone else will as well. It's no fun when you travel to a lake and only 4 or 5 guys show up.

No Shane you are correct........Dont take my texts on here wrong, I am only stating my opinion.

I guess it just depends on what you are looking for out of this experience. I am looking to better my skills and catch fish. Just because we have some people that dont want to fish something different, I dont think we should sacrifice the whole club.

We could always go back to voting on the next lake after each tournament

My two cents: (actually my $19.95 since I pay for the web page).........#1: You will NEVER please everybody when it comes to picking lakes! #2: I'm a MEMBER, and I think that means showing up to every lake that is chosen regardless if I like it or not, because that's what being in a club means......showing up, fishing, hanging out, having fun! #3: We do tend to have a better tourn-out when we stay close to home, like Coleto, Bastrop, Austin, Somerville, etc...........however, a new lake every now and then can be fun too!
So, how bout a little old fashioned American Democracy.........we hold ONE TOURNAMENT ELECTION MEETING ONLY!! You show up, you get your vote..............bam.....Democracy! If you don't show, then you don't have a say! If your lake ain't chosen........you at least had a shot and feel a part of it. I didn't vote for the current Presidential regime.....but I voted and feel a part of the process.......so, show and vote or get over it and fish!
OK........we're at the meeting.......we make a pre-vote list of tournaments you want...........then, Jan........we all write down the lake you want to fish for Jan.......put them in a hat........draw one and that's it! Cross it off the main list and go on to Feb., March, etc.....until the year is filled. This way, EVERYONE has a vote.........and if you didn't get your lake, you at least had a vote and get over it and come fish! I like having the lakes and dates ready for the whole year, so I can plan accordingly!

However, my own personal wish list would be:
Jan. - Bastrop.........(I suck there but I like it)
Feb. - Coleto ..........(I like the idea of an early 2 day tourney)
March: toss-up (Conroe - hey I won there, Gibbons Creek, Belton, I don't care)
April: Austin ( I like that lake)
May: Stillhouse - I need revenge for last year!
June: Somerville - I can't believe Bage won it from the back of my boat!
July: LBJ or Travis or some cooler water lake (I like Ink's lake myself)
Aug: Austin all nighter ( I love me some full moon's on LA)

I really could care less to where we fish, just give me the time and place. I do think we need to plan the dates where most fisherman not in our tourney are at the bass champs. That may make the lake we are fishing less crowded. I really don't want to fish Austin twice this year. I like the idea of having a two day event. I also like the idea of fishing choke. Personally I think the meeting option is a little lame, but if that make everyone feel better lets do it.

Lakes I'd like to fish:(no particular order)
Bastrop, Celeto, Choke, Belton, SH, Slummerville,
Austin, Travis,

Lakes I don't want to fish:
LBJ,Buchanan, Fayette,

As for conroe, wouldn't mind fishing it, but if we are all going to have to travel id much rather go to choke.

I need some dates soon...... If we can do the Jan. T as late as possible that would be great for me. I'm having shoulder surgery on Dec 29th and am not suppose to do anything for 6 weeks. I'm guessing by 4 weeks I should be able to fish ;)...
